Apex Legends Season: 5 Awesome Things About Fortune’s Favor
Apex Legends Season 5 has been released, with awesome updates to overall gameplay and entirely new modes, centered around restoring an ancient artifact. What is this artifact, and why does everybody from the Apex Legends to Hammond Robotics want to get their hands on it? Maybe it has something to do with the crumbling map?
Read on to learn about the countless imaginative updates to the character roster, map, and gameplay in Apex Legends Season 5: Fortune’s Favor.
New Legend: Loba
Loba is a stylish, elegant thief, and her approach toward combat is both strong-willed and sneaky. Her exquisite power is even rumored to have brought down Skull Town. Her arch-nemesis? Last season’s Revenant. Fair warning to you.
Tactical Ability: Burglar’s Best Friend
Teleport to hard-to-reach places or escape trouble quickly by throwing your Jump Drive bracelet.
Passive Ability: Eye For Quality
Nearby epic and legendary loot can be seen through walls. The range is the same as Black Market Boutique.
Ultimate Ability: Black Market Boutique
Place a portable device that allows you to teleport nearby loot to your inventory. Each friendly or enemy Legend can take up to two items.

Map Transformations: King’s Canyon
Say goodbye to Skull Town and Thunderdome. With the removal of the two points of interest, the Broken Coast now stretches from Octane’s Gauntlet all the way to the cliffs leading into Water Treatment.
Salvage, a small rig that has been added to the Broken Coast which holds the skull of a leviathan above the water, is a protected arena with high-tier loot. This will be a sweet spot for anyone who needs a quick boost. There are two balloon ziplines between the locales too, for a swift exit.
Eastward, the massive Offshore Rig connects to the now-broken Relay Wetlands, Capacitor, and Swamps areas. Out east, the map is larger, meaning a longer journey to the circle. But, you’ll be much better outfitted than a squad in a central drop zone. Don’t forget to check the hanging platform on the north end of the Offshore Rig for high-tier loot.
New Apex Legends Gameplay: Quests
With the introduction of Loba and transformations in Skulltown, comes an epic adventure. Dubbed “Quests”, these interactive, season-long searches attempt to recover nine pieces of an ancient artifact. In order to fulfill the goals of the weekly-revealed missions, an Apex Legends player must:
Collect Daily Treasure Packs
While playing competitive matches of Apex Legends, search for treasure packs to unlock Rewards and new Hunts for the missing pieces.
Go on Weekly Hunts
Infiltrate Kings Canyon at night to retrieve pieces of the artifact. Brave the dangers solo or with your squad and make it back alive. While you can always join in on Hunts, you’ll only get the Rewards if you’ve unlocked the mission yourself.
Succeed in Each Hunt
Earn even more rewards by finding pieces of the artifact. You’ll unlock serial chapters that tell the Story of “The Broken Ghost”.
Recover the Relic
Recover all nine pieces of the relic to unlock even more rewards, dive into the past, and uncover a secret that the Outlands might not be ready for.

A first for the popular battle royale games, the developers behind Apex Legends introduced the reconnect feature into Fortune’s Favor. Now, players who unexpectedly leave a match can rejoin that match, provided they don’t leave through the system menu. If you’re booted, simply restart the game and join the lobby. If your game is still valid, your squad hasn’t been defeated, and you haven’t timed out, you’ll be automatically reconnected to your game.
Everything comes with a price, however. Disconnected player characters remain vulnerable, and can be killed before they reconnect. If this happens, don’t panic. At least not right away. Your teammates can revive you normally, by taking your banner to a respawn beacon — either before or after you have reconnected. Keep in mind: if you don’t reconnect in time, you will be removed normally and treated as if you abandoned, which could impact your overall ranking.
Apex Legends Battle Pass Rewards
In Apex Legends Season 5, fortune is forever in your favor. With the new Battle Pass, you’ll be able to pursue and unlock 100+ new items.
Immediately unlock the Legendary Hemlock Retrofitted skin and three new Rare Legends skins when you pick up the Battle Pass.
Fight through the remaining 100 levels to earn the rest of the rewards including Rare and Legendary items like the Fool’s Gold Mirage, Sky Marshal Bangalore, and the Precision Caliber Reactive Wingman.
Like previous Battle Passes, all of Fortune’s Favor cosmetic rewards (excluding Apex Packs and content within) are exclusive to Season 5. You won’t see these legendary items again, so act now before you lose out!
