5 Awesome Things about Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5: Zero Point

As of last season, the supervillian Galactus’ fate had not yet been sealed. His cataclysmic event sent fear around the Fortnite Universe, causing all sorts of heroes to fight against the oncoming forces. Resisting evil, this season’s hunters join from different franchises, destroying “The Loop”.

The last big update for the year, be sure to read all the latest updates so you can get an edge over the competition before heading into battle.

New Map Zones

Salty Springs and Tilted Towers have united, bringing Salty Towers! Combined these two spots will be the hottest drop spots in the game for Season 5.

Stealthy Stronghold is a zone filled with trees and wrought-iron fences. Be sure to drop here if you want to avoid a fight early on in the game. You’ll have some great overhead cover as well.

Colossal Coliseum is the exact opposite of Stealthy Stronghold. An open air coliseum primed for fighting, you don’t want to get stuck here in the middle of a battle!

The Zero Point is the eye of all the action this season. We’re looking forward to seeing how different effects take hold here.

Surprises in the Sand

Along with new map systems come new gameplay styles! Try your hand at the giant desert in the middle of the island. You can use this hotspot to your advantage. Sink into the sand by standing still for a few moments. You’ll be able to move around freely with just a small mound showing. Once you’re settled in your position, leap out to take your enemies by surprise.

If the storm ends up closing in on this POI, the last few seconds of the game will be interesting. You’ll need to rely on stealth and steady control in order to listen closely to your enemies and pinpoint their exact location underground. Doing so, you’ll be able to blast them away. But you might need a little help!

New Weapons

The new artillery of Season 5 is sure to impress.

The latest season is bringing together Agent Jones and some of the greatest hunters from across the realities, like the Mandalorian, Menance, Mancake, and Mave, to save the day and shape the future of the Fortnite island.

The season includes new locations from an ancient arena to the shifting crystalline sands flowing from the exposed zero point in the center of the map.

And just like last season, new weapons have been added to the mix. Each weapon brings something new to the table, taking on characteristics from the island’s new bounty hunters.

Here’s the full list of major weapons: Amban Sniper Rifle, Dragon’s Breath, The Dub.

New Quests

According to Epic, there are two new huge game modes available to play. These modes will help you learn the new characters and weapons more in-depth.

Help for Hire
As a hunter, it’s your duty to help the Island’s characters in their unstable new reality. Take on their quests and bounties, get intel on your surroundings, or hire them to be your ally. Don’t want to negotiate? Challenge them to a duel and reap the rewards.

Spend your wages
The new characters only accept one form of payment: bars! Earn bars by completing quests and bounties, eliminating players, or finding hidden stashes around the Island. Spend your earned bars on new exotic weapons, upgrades, intel, services, and more.

New Battle Pass & Skins

The Fortnite Season 5 Battle Pass brings bounty hunters from all kinds of different realities. Yes, this includes The Mandalorian from the Disney+ series and makes sense relating to the recent Fortnite X Disney+ promotion.

Agent Jones has brought in the greatest Hunters across Realities to the Island. Pick up the Season 5 Battle Pass and unlock Mancake the fighting Flapjack, Mave the shapeshifter and the ultimate bounty hunter, The Mandalorian, with his companion The Child.

Here are all of the skin sets included in the Season 5 Battle Pass.
