5 Awesome Things about Apex Legends Season 6: Boosted
Apex Legends is releasing its last big release before the end of the summer, and you’re likely trying to find an edge on the competition.
Maybe you spent your summer finally dialing in your PC, decking out your setup with headphones, mice, and keyboards. If you haven’t, no worries.
With gameplay updates, new modes, and battle pass rewards, we’ve scoured the forums to give you the most up-to-date information on Apex Legends Season 6: Boosted.
World’s Edge Updates
The developers at Respawn have toiled over three large map updates. Hammond Industries is expanding at an alarming rate. The Lava Field west of The Dome has been converted into the Launch Site. Launch Site isn’t the only major site update, however. The aptly-named Drill Site is being colonized by Hammond, turning into Countdown. A smaller location, Staging, will replace one of the many Apex Legends towns.
Throughout these three new map areas — Launch Site, Countdown and Staging — players will find massive Blast Walls. If you get to these areas first, you will have an advantage over the competition. But look out for access paths through the top or the bottom of these rugged features.
“The rising walls are a new map mechanic added to World’s Edge and can be found in Launch Site, Countdown and Staging,” says Respawn. “Activating a panel will start the giant blast wall to rise, creating a defensible platform and permanently fortifying the position of whichever team was lucky enough to control it first.”
New Legend: Rampart
Rampart just needs a big gun and a backpack full of scrap metal to get by in the dangerous, wild west world of the Outlands. If you’re into modders and crafters, then Rampart is the perfect character for you.
Tactical Ability: Amped Cover
Build a crouch-cover wall, which deploys a full-cover amped wall that blocks incoming shots and amps outgoing shots.
Passive Ability: Modded Loader
Increased magazine capacity and faster reloads when using LMGs and the Minigun.
Ultimate Ability: Emplaced Minigun
Place a mounted machine gun that anyone can use. High ammo capacity, long reload time.

New Weapon : Volt
Originating from Titanfall, the Volt shot fires hitscan energy rounds. With minimal recoil, and fast reloading, it’s the ultimate weapon for taking down your enemies is Apex Legends Season 6.
Finally released — no longer just a rumor — the Volt SMG uses Energy Ammo. Maybe it’s to make up for the lack of weapon last season? Whatever the case, we’re just excited there’s a new shotgun around.
Remember: a shotgun is noisy. Tread lightly when using this new weapon. And if you want an edge on those who rely on these snub-nosed powerhouses? Try a demo of Audio Royale. New Game Mode: Crafting
Apex Legends introduces a novel game mode this season: crafting. Like last Season 5, you’ll need to look around the map for different materials, metals, and skins. You’ll take these scraps to Replicator, the crafting shop, and exchange for goods and different weapons.
Crafting will allow players to find awesome loot and upgrade their gear before another jaunt in World’s Edge. Look out for replicators around the map by following their bright blue lights. Act fast, however! Enemy teams see these alerts as well.
Boosted Battle Pass Rewards
In Apex Legends Season 6, you need to get boosted or get blasted. With the new Battle Pass, you’ll be able to pursue and unlock 100+ new items.
Immediately unlock the Legendary Rollcage Sentinel skin and three new Rare Legends skins when you pick up the Battle Pass.
Fight through the remaining 100 levels to earn the rest of the rewards including Rare and Legendary items like the Built for Speed Pathfinder, Road Warrior Bloodhound, and the reactive Hypersonic G7.
Like previous Battle Passes, all of Boosted’s cosmetic rewards (excluding Apex Packs and content within) are exclusive to Season 6. You won’t see these legendary items again, so act now before you lose out!
